Arcadia is thrilled to be providing the landscape design for two stages of developer Greenland Golden Horse Australia’s transformational urban renewal project at Ashmore Road, Erskineville. Working with two architects, Turner Studio and Andrew Burns, Arcadia is designing open space to complement two very different building styles, both of which have been DA approved by the City of Sydney.

One of the largest master planned projects in Sydney, Park Sydney will be delivered over seven stages to revitalise the 6.9 Ha site between Ashmore Road and Coulson Street. The residential community will feature nine development blocks ranging in height from two to eight storeys and will ultimately be home to approximately 1,400 premium apartments.

Building A, at 57 Ashmore Street, features Arcadia-designed open space with a site-specific design response, celebrating the history and heritage of the site and providing connections to the adjacent park. Arcadia, together with Turner Studio was the design competition winning team for the 4-8-storey residential building with 173 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and shared basement car parking. The design also includes a community space which overlooks the newly constructed Macpherson Park to the south. More info on the project can be found here.

Arcadia is also working with architect Andrew Burns for the Block D landscape proposal, which consists of both front and backyards of 6 terrace style houses as well as 6 private roof terraces. The landscape concept looks to establish a character exchange between Block D and the adjacent industrial sites, as well as the proposed Block A development and green link. The materiality and a planting design will provide a clear, smooth, and attractive transition from public to private domain.
