Arcadia has been appointed as landscape architect on the Redcliffe Hospital expansion project, part of the largest investment in new and expanded hospitals in Queensland.
Multiplex will be leading the detailed design for the expansion, which will include a new Clinical Services Building and a refurbishment of the existing building that will deliver 204 extra beds.
The role landscape can play in healing is at the core of Arcadia’s strategy for Redcliffe Hospital as the team takes a sitewide approach for the Hospital landscape, which includes the entry, courtyards and upper rooftop spaces for patients, staff and visitors. Arcadia will collaborate with architects, Hassell, working together to deliver a new Hospital that will provide world-class care for the Redcliffe Community.
The expansion of the Redcliffe Hospital aims to future proof the Moreton Bay Region’s healthcare infrastructure against population growth and an increasing aging population. Designing for dignity, wellbeing and enhanced delivery of care are key landscape drivers for the Redcliffe Hospital landscape. Located on Ningy Ningy land, Arcadia are undertaking a fully collaborative design process to ensure world-class outcomes.
