Ramsgate Park

Located on the iconic 3.3 hectare site of the Darrell Lea Factory, Arcadia has designed the landscape for the Ramsgate Park masterplanned community. With a large park as the centrepiece of four apartment buildings and 20 terrace homes, the concept focuses on creating a healthy living community incorporating all aspects of wellbeing – physical, mental and social.

Outdoor spaces cater to the needs of the residents and the community, including small-scale barbecue areas, large grassy expanses, rooftop terraces, urban rainforest retreats and children’s play areas. The diverse collection of spaces provided within the public realm place a strong emphasis on the outdoors, recreation and social engagement. Drawing upon the existing woodland remnants within the Hawthorne Street Natural Area will contribute to native vegetation corridors, providing habitat for local wildlife. A feature of Ramsgate Park’s landscape is a passive WSUD system which has been designed to manage the site’s overland flow, centred around a rainforest water feature.

Residents will be able to access one of four podium rooftop spaces, 1,306 m2 in total, each designed with its own individual character to maximise the views to the city, beach and/or the surrounding bay area. There is also 5,189 m2 of private ground floor  communal open space, using microclimatic landscape design to create unique zones, usable throughout the day and year.
