Penway Place

Toga’s High St development will be a vibrant, active civic precinct, with a flexible platform for activity. The landscape will draw inspiration from the historic role of the Nepean River as a place of meeting and gathering, breathing life into the surrounding development and city.

Use of endemic vegetation, materials and interpretation in a contemporary, urban environment will help draw the link between the past and the present within this development The Civic Square is the primary gathering space for the precinct.

It offers flexibility to facilitate a range of activities ranging from play, performances, live event streaming and markets. The Square relates closely to the surrounding businesses and has a strong dialogue with the Civic Pavilion, an iconic structure that provides visual interest and activation at the ground level. The Garden Square is the softer counterpart to the Civic Square. It offers similar opportunities for occupation and gathering, while providing a sense of respite and relaxation.
