La Vera

Arcadia has designed the landscape for the Cox Architecture-designed multi-residential development, La Vera, to be located in the high growth suburb, Macquarie Park. Arcadia’s landscape for La Vera looks to the ecology of the nearby Lane Cove National Park to provide a green refuge in an urban setting. Multiple communal spaces, including podium and rooftop amenity, courtyards and a garden walk, will promote wellness and connection for the residents of the 119 apartments.

A leafy site with an established tree canopy, the landscape will emphasise the ecological value of the site and offer an activated ground plane. With easy pedestrian connections to the nearby innovation precinct of Macquarie Park, residents will include young professionals, young families and active retirees.

The spaces throughout La Vera have been programmed for a diversity of uses, including active, semi-active and passive to suit the future residents. Drawing from biophillia and mental restoration theory, the landscape will support wellness and productivity whilst also providing a beautiful ecological setting.

With a winter garden providing solar access, bespoke seating and outdoor workstations, outdoor dining and kitchen area and flexible deck space, the Upper Group Communal Space will complement the adjacent existing landscape, with natural contemporary finishes and endemic planting.

The nearby Turpentine courtyard is named after the local Macquarie Park ecology of the Turpentine-Ironbark Forest. This outdoor communal room will cater for exercise, quiet contemplation and flexible working within a lush backdrop that celebrates local ecologies.

The Level 12 Rooftop will provide a sophisticated space for outdoor dining and working zones. With a kitchen garden designed to create a sense of community and hands on connection to nature, residents and their visitors will be able to relax in this green oasis to enjoy the views towards the nearby Lane Cove National Park.
