Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre

The redeveloped Northcote Aquatic Recreation Centre has delivered a beautiful new facility to the community of Darebin. Arcadia collaborated with architects Warren and Mahoney to design a vibrant and inclusive landscape outcome that supports and expands the recreational activity of the Northcote Aquatic Recreation Centre to promote healthy and active lives within the community.

The landscape outcomes of this project include the expansion of recreational activity, the integration of the landscape topography with the aquatic building, and the civic response to the prominent Victoria Road interface and park along the residential Clifton Street. The landscape has reinforced active leisure,  with a focus on the provision of external spaces that complement and expand upon the recreational offering, including an outdoor water and nature play space.
