Cattai Creek West Master Plan

Arcadia and Stewart Hollenstein have collaborated to devise a master plan for a new town centre adjacent to the proposed Showground Station. This 35.4 hectare site will provide 1,900 dwellings in a mixed-use typology, as well as a dedicated enterprise zone to allow increased local employment opportunities.

This proposal provides a framework for Cattai Creek West to transition from a light industrial area to a rich mixed use precinct framed by a strong connection to landscape. The site will include 20 per cent open space and 14 per cent leafy new street zones.

The Cattai Creek West Master Plan proposes that the Cattai Creek corridor be redefined as the community heart of the Showground Station village. Future development is proposed to expand and frame the creek corridor, providing amenity for the existing and future community.

The rejuvenated and expanded creek corridor will include active and passive recreation opportunities such as boardwalks, bicycle paths and gathering and play spaces to provide a green network connecting the precinct and providing car free paths of travel.
