Mariyung Maintenance Facility

I saw that last week and thought it needed updating. Can you update it with this please?

Arcadia worked closely with Architectus and SMEC for John Holland Group to deliver the landscape and environmental design for the New Intercity Fleet Program Maintenance Facility, built for the arrival of the $2.3 billion New Intercity Fleet and based on the Central Coast. The project team looked to protect existing vegetation, retain bushland and forest, treat all storm-water, create new habitats for all types of animal species and rehabilitate the surrounding vegetation.

Arcadia Landscape Architecture’s design was a crucial aspect of the project’s ambition to have the buildings sitting in, and connecting with, its natural surrounds. Extensive planting of Indigenous species all provide a healthy connection for the people working at the Facility with the pristine environment surrounding them, creating a setting where they can perform at their best.

The multi-disciplinary design team for the NIFMF project used Building Information Modelling (BIM) to easily communicate the design vision to the stakeholders and consortium.
