Iglu Student Housing

Constructed in collaboration with Bates Smart and Richard Crookes, Arcadia designed the landscape for the Iglu Student Accommodation project in Chatswood. It has been designed to offer spaces for a range of uses, including passive amenity, alfresco dining and general breakout zones for the residents of this facility. The central courtyard space allows for groups of all sizes, from large get-togethers to intimate gatherings, through the provision of a large covered deck with seating, sunning lawns and a community edible garden with deep green soft edges. Located on the 8th story of the building the sun deck provides sculptural seating and lying amenity that can accommodate a large number of people. This deck is anchored with a feature Frangipani and has expansive views to the City.
