Corinda State High School

Arcadia, in collaboration with architects Graypuksand, designed the landscape for Corinda State High School to increase open space, expand outdoor learning opportunity and improve wayfinding and connectivity.

Arcadia’s landscape provides a high-quality teaching and learning environment for staff and students with more usuable outdoor space to increase teaching flexibility. By improving movement flow, including more accessible connections to existing buildings, and strengthening cross-campus views and pedestrian connections, students and teachers experience a safe campus environment during and after school hours, which supports and nurtures growth.

The establishment of a campus palette assists in wayfinding and enhancing the school identity while the introduction of an additional drop-off experience has improved connectivity and safety. The reconfiguration of external spaces facilitates multifunctional use, with pop up performance areas and opportunities for passive and active recreation break out zones through the centre of school.
