7 Maitland Place Commercial

Arcadia’s vision for Maitland Place is to establish a new open space typology for commercial landscapes using a contemporary design approach. By blending modern trends in biophilic architecture with performative outcomes for outdoor space, 7 Maitland Place will create a place which enrich the day to day experience of both workers and the wider community.

The landscape will complement architecture design and intent, blurring lines between built form and the landscape, with greenery incorporated into building facades and views the retention of connections to existing native vegetation. 2300m2 of native buffer planting will restore native vegetation communities and habitat for Indigenus species, with 100 new trees and established tree canopies will cover up to 45% of the total site area.

Arcadia’s concept responds and works with the complex topography of the site and maximises opportunity with 52% of site area having deep soil to accommodate Indigenous canopy tree planting. Inviting spaces will provide a flexible and welcoming landscape for internal and external users. At the ground level, open spaces will include a Forest Canopy Deck experience, shareway and plaza and a playful + didactic discovery trail of cultural significance. Arcadia has designed spaces which are restorative and provide healing qualities, including leafy upper level breakout and meeting spaces have been combined with Yoga Deck and social amenity.
