Across the country, demand for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) is increasing in response to major infrastructure, urban expansion and renewable energy projects.  Led from our Newcastle studio, our teams have the capability to provide expert analysis to and promote considered development, with a particular focus on  planning approvals and community consultation.

Senior Associate Annabel Lydon has a number of years of experience working across projects in all sectors including landmark infrastructure, urban development and renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, battery energy storage and transmission across Australia.

“By combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of landscape character, we  ensure that every assessment is thorough and in line with best practices and regulations,” says Lydon.

“Beyond assessments, we provide landscape design services that align with the VIA, to ensure that the mitigation strategies and recommendations within our VIA reports are seamlessly incorporated into the final design.”

Lydon and the Newcastle studio have been working with Arcadia teams based in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane, to share their expertise and diversified skill sets, to provide LVIAs that are bolstered with local knowledge and most innovative software.
