Arcadia is excited to announce their next stage of growth in Queensland with the appointment of Dan Rimes as Principal of the newly established Gold Coast studio.
“This has been a year of growth and opportunity in Queensland, and with a strong forecast for 2026, we are delighted to welcome Dan to the Arcadia Principal team to lead our newest studio,” says Alex Longley, Founder and Managing Director of Arcadia.
“Rimes will be working alongside Brisbane Studio Lead Nathan Clausen and Principal Ben Newell, as Arcadia’s Queensland practice embraces the opportunities provided by Brisbane 2032 and the once-in-a-generation opportunity to help shape a spatial identity for South East Queensland. The Gold Coast studio will provide additional capacity and expertise for the strong markets in the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast regions of NSW, linking with the services being offered by our Newcastle studio.
With international and Australian experience, award-winning Gold Coast Landscape Architect Dan Rimes will immediately commence on a body of work already underway in the region working closely with the Brisbane studio. Spanning all sectors including master planning, sports and recreation, residential, parks and open space and mixed use, this work sits across all stages of design and delivery.
“With 20 years of local and international experience, Dan brings a high level of capability and expertise to leading the design and delivery of projects in the Gold Coast region. He will be working closely with Nathan Clausen and the team as Arcadia builds on our existing presence and project reach in the region, applying his local knowledge and passion for creating sustainable, meaningful environments to create a positive impact for the Gold Coast.” says Longley.
