We are delighted to share that Arcadia’s Canberra studio has been engaged as landscape architect for the Australian Sports Commission’s AIS Podium Project. The most significant renewal of the Australian Institute of Sport campus in over 40 years, the project will see the creation of three new world-class facilities and supporting outdoor spaces.
Designed to support athlete performance on the path to the Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth Games and world championship podiums, the prokect will include purpose-built athlete accommodation, an indoor sports dome, and a high-performance testing and training centre to be developed in close collaboration with athletes, coaches and support staff.
Arcadia will be collaborating with architects Populous and Stewart Architecture, who will be delivering the reference design and design brief, with Ngurra Advisory guiding Indigenous consultation.
