Arcadia is thrilled to announce its involvement in the design consortium for Barangaroo Station for Sydney Metro. Working with Architectus and Foster and Partners for METRON, Arcadia is the Landscape Architect for this significant new station in the Sydney Metro network.

This key Sydney infrastructure project will include the landscape for the station entrance, the Nawi Cove and Hickson Road public domain and connections to the Walsh Bay Arts and Cultural Precinct.

Arcadia is supporting Sydney Metro through the complex project interfaces and public domain design including parkland, streetscape, plazas, cycleways, urban, heritage and interpretation elements and planting.

“Our involvement in this exciting project brings ten years of studio experience to the design team, with Arcadia leading a landscape design response on a complex site with a multitude of stakeholders to deliver a significant and interconnecting piece of Barangaroo public domain,” says Chris Tidswell, Principal of Arcadia’s Sydney studio.

“The design has been fostered to create Connection to Country, and Arcadia has collaborated with First Nations People in the design and consultation process. The landscape design includes fantastic opportunities to instil the site’s heritage and Indigenous culture through artwork and interpretation. We look forward to the completion of this important piece of public domain within the wider Barangaroo Development Precinct.”
