Arcadia announces members of new Advisory Board

Arcadia has appointed an Advisory Board provide the leadership team with valuable insights and guidance to ensure continued growth and success with collaborators and client groups.

Following a rigorous selection process, Arcadia Directors Alex Longley and Michael Barnett had the pleasure in appointing three members to form the Advisory Board, bringing individual perspectives from diverse experience working in different sectors of Australian business.

To be led by highly experienced board director, Peter Mattick, the Advisory Board members include Julie Savet Ward and Emma Shipley who both bring decades of experience from the built environment.

Peter Mattick

Peter Mattick co-founded Salmat Limited in 1979 and served as its Joint Chief Executive Officer and Joint Managing Director until his retirement from executive duties with Salmat Limited in October 2009. Since that time, Mr Mattick’s board experience has included  non-executive director of Salmat, Chairman and Director of the Australian Direct Marketing Association, Member of the National Aboriginal Sports Corporation and a board member and Chairman of The Shepherd Centre. He is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants and the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Governor of the Advisory Council for the Institute of Neuromuscular Research.

Julie Savet Ward

Julie is a professional non-executive director and chairperson with 25 years’ experience on company and project boards in the property, infrastructure and professional services sectors. She brings commercial acumen, practical governance knowledge, project management experience and a collaborative working style. Julie has 35 years’ management experience and brings a deep understanding of the planning, sustainability, management and delivery of infrastructure, property and natural resource projects. Her sustainability knowledge for corporations and projects brings specialised ESG knowledge to boards.

Emma Shipley

Emma possesses more than 20 years of experience, working in major international organisations in both listed and unlisted environments, covering Development, Construction and Funds Management, throughout Australia, within the Middle East, Asia and Europe, previously as COO / CFO for some of Australia’s largest construction and development businesses. Emma is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and works with businesses in both an Advisory Board capacity and Non-Executive Director with companies in both Australia and Malaysia across varying sectors.
