Located in West Melbourne, Roden & King will be a collection of mixed-use commercial spaces and Build to Rent apartments, designed by DKO, with open space designed by Arcadia. The landscape response relates to its context through materiality and vegetation, integrating with the architectural expression to help build a new, connected community.

The buildings will surround a central green space which will accommodate a range of activities and experiences for residents.  The Central Courtyard is the residential outdoor focus for the development, providing amenities such as an open lawn, BBQ, gardens and canopy trees along with various seating and congregation options.

The Laneway provide public access through the site, connecting between Stanley Street and Roden Street for pedestrians. Open to the public during daylight hours, the laneway will provide seating areas for the general community, residents and workers to sit and socialise.

The Rooftop Communal Space provides residents with a contemporary retreat with panoramic views across the Melbourne and Docklands. Designed for flexibility, residents will be able to make use of the residents use the rooftop for a range of uses including, outdoor meetings, events, contemplation garden and a private dining room provides an intimate venue for residents and guests, serviced with a kitchenette and BBQ.
