Arcadia has been engaged as the landscape architect for the development of a new Fraser Coast Regional library and council administration building in the Hervey Bay City Centre.
The design draws inspiration from the iconic K’gari landscape. The landscape will reflect the identity of the region, providing a place locals will be proud of; somewhere to engage with the community both day and night, welcome visitors and recognise and pay respect to the traditional custodians of the land.
The team is currently in collaboration with Cottee Parker Architects, Bloc Design and Blaklash Creative, a design consultancy specialising in First Nations art and design in ways to achieve this.
