Arcadia has created a landscape with a defined local narrative for The Gladstone, Australia’s largest Build To Rent development. Located in the high-growth Fishermans Bend precinct, the landscape tells the story of the Saltwater lagoon that was found on the site in pre-colonial times, while celebrating the distinctive South Melbourne character. Weaving this design narrative through the open space allows residents to feel connected to the suburb and community.

Working with international build to rent developer, Greystar, and architects Studio SC, Arcadia’s communal open spaces for The Gladstone provide residents with a diversity of amenity and programming to accommodate different users in the space concurrently, creating social engagement and a true sense of community for the residents. By tying together the structured zones and passive spaces with the unique narrative, lush planting, materiality and highly curated features with a detailed level of finish, tell the story of place.
