Designed with a vision to create a destination for families and the local community, Yamanto Central is a blend of art, retail and community spaces.

Yamanto Central was awarded the Property Council of Australia Queensland “2024 Retail Property of the Year” Award for Excellence in Development, with the judges recognising that a highlight for the centre is the external alfresco area. The active playground draws customers to adjacent food and coffee tenants and has become a popular meeting point for local families.

The concept design for the play space is based on the Ornithoptera richmondia, a local endangered bird wing butterfly, with a number of details and features to engage children as they play. The precinct features contemporary furniture and an array of planters, full of lush tropical planting.
