Announcing 2022 Senior Promotions at Arcadia

Arcadia is thrilled to begin 2022 by announcing senior promotions across three studios, recognising the contributions and achievements of a range of individuals.

In Brisbane, Jason Taylor has been promoted to Senior Associate, while Kate Phillips and Tim Ivers have been promoted to Associate. In Melbourne, Daniel Drummond has been promoted to Associate along with Annabel Spillane in Sydney. Stacey Edwards, Kelsy Pearce, Vivian Deng and Hugh Marchant have been promoted to Senior Landscape Architect, while Arcadia’s newest studio in Canberra has appointed Graduate Landscape Architect, Emilia Pelle.

Jason Taylor – Senior Associate
Jason has been leading project teams to deliver high-quality design outcomes across a range of sectors, including urban open spaces, commercial, retirement living and residential. His strength in fostering an openness and empathy with clients, as well as the relevant authorities, ensure that the various stakeholders’ interests and goals are maintained. His qualifications in horticulture and extensive experience in sport and recreation masterplanning precincts have also ensured Arcadia has been heavily involved with local councils and Stadiums Queensland in Southeast Queensland and Bundaberg.

Kate Phillips – Associate
Kate plays a key role in the design, documentation and delivery on a variety of projects in both the public and private sectors, across education, healthcare, commercial, residential, master planning and public space projects. Her focus on delivering great design outcomes combined with her strong vision and hard work, make her a valuable addition to the dedicated multidisciplinary teams she works with. Kate has recently led the Landscape design and documentation of Breakfast Creek Quarter, a significant commercial project at the gateway into Brisbane City.

Tim Ivers – Associate
With his training in graphic designer and landscape architecture, Tim brings a particular passion for design and strong eye for detail to his work. He has had extensive experience leading projects across all areas, from early conception and master planning, through to detailed design and construction. Tim has been involved in delivering some of Arcadia’s key projects including the Fortitude Valley State Secondary College and Stockland Aura.

Annabel Spillane – Associate
With her notable plant knowledge and exceptional design skills, Annabel’s approach to multidisciplinary collaboration has resulted in project delivery which exceeds client expectations. She has worked hard to weave connection to Country, smart environmental sustainability and water efficiency into her designs, contributing to the peri-urban fabric of Sydney,

Daniel Drummond – Associate
Daniel’s experience leading the coordination and delivery of major infrastructure projects across Victoria has played a key role in the Melbourne team’s success in the design and delivery of significant projects. His passion for delivering high-quality and engaging built outcomes, combined with his collaborative approach, have helped the team find innovative, highly resolved project solutions to facilitate positive interaction between community, the built environment, and natural systems.

Stacey Edmunds, Kelsy Pearce, Hugh Marchant and Vivian Deng have delivered exemplary work across all sectors, demonstrating exceptional design skills and developing strong relationships with clients and collaborators in the process. Emilia Pelle joins the ACT studio, bringing a passion for sustainability and a strong eye for detail.
